Colorado Mesa University
CMU is a vibrant and growing campus in the heart of Grand Junction! Indoor events, sporting events, and many others are hosted at the university's campus. Thanks to their commitment to community driven missions, you can rent the Meyer Ballroom in the university center. Special Olympics Colorado held their 2024 Summer Olympics Games at the campus this year. We had the unique opportunity to photograph a portion of the event during the games and it was absolutely amazing.
Monument Vista Place
Monument Vista Place or MVP is a brand-new venue constructed this year in the Redlands. We had the unique opportunity to photograph their grand opening ceremony in September 2023. The owner, Stephen Oachs, is a celebrated National Geographic photographer and previous owner of a renowned photography school. He sold the school to pursue a new endeavor for his wife, May and himself. Their venue is large and suitable for weddings, parties, celebrations, and many other community driven events. The Monument on the backdrop of the venue leaves us breathless every time we're in the area.
Two Rivers Convention Center
This has been our favorite venue for corporate events, parties, and concerts. We haven't worked at Two Rivers to date, but the environment is completely indoors, controlled and perfect for event photography or event videography.
In conclusion we wanted to be sure to include only venues we've experienced or worked at. The important thing to consider when choosing a venue is why. Why do you want this venue and is it going to add to the event experience of all of your guests. It's so important to remember that if you're hiring event photographers or videographers, you must consider the event you're choosing and if they're equipped to capture your event.
